I photographed this engagement session in the Birchwood trails behind our home in Fort McMurray.
Thea is one of the sweetest girls I know, and an INCREDIBLE cook! Her and her fiancée (now husband!) Colin met up with me one absolutely gorgeous fall evening in 2015 and we took a walk down to one of my favourite little creeks in the Birchwood trails. With the trees in absolutely radiant colour, and the sunshine the most incredible shade of golden amber – the session turned out to be one of my favourite couple’s sessions to date.
These two are so absolutely adorable together, and it was such a fun and relaxed session. Even when I fell off a log I was standing on to get “that” shot and fell into the creek!
Fort McMurray is such a beautiful city in the fall, I wish it lasted longer! I love exploring the forest in all of the seasons, but autumn is definitely the most colourful. Can’t beat that there is still no snow, but less mosquitoes either! The forests come alive with colour – the sounds of the leaves crunching under-foot, the crispness in the air – it’s all so very beautiful.
Here are some of our favourite moment from their fall engagement session. I am looking forward to getting more couple’s down here soon!
